Caterpillar Introduces New 345D L Hydraulic Excavator

Caterpillar introduced the 345D L hydraulic excavator, a direct replacement for the 345C L. This new model inherits the advantages of its predecessor and incorporates new designs to improve performance and durability.
The power of the 345D L engine has been increased by 10%, and in the case of heavy work and difficult digging, fuel consumption hardly increases. In order to save fuel in light work, hydraulic devices and engine control systems were redesigned, introducing new power management functions. In this way, the operator can flexibly select the alternate engine and hydraulic power settings without affecting the breaking force or lifting capacity. Alternate power options are controlled through the new D-Series display in the cab.
The new excavator has also improved the chassis, using heavier counterweights for increased stability and improved performance. Standard heated seats and other new features make the Cat® 345D L a productive and productive excavation, loading and underground utility tool.
Provides higher power for hard work The 345D L is equipped with a 380 hp (283 kW) Cat C13 engine with ACERT® technology. The engine provides 10% higher power than the previous model, meets EPA Tier 3 emissions regulations, provides superior performance, reliability, and long life.
Hydraulic flow increased by 2%. The host pump was redesigned and a regeneration circuit was added to improve hydraulic efficiency and reliability.
Thanks to the use of a more powerful engine and a more efficient hydraulic system, the performance of this new excavator is far greater than its predecessor, but there is no loss of fuel efficiency. In production applications where the same amount of fuel is consumed, the 345D L can carry more material. In the case of low intensity, the standby power selection can reduce fuel consumption by 10%, while the productivity can still be comparable to the C Series models.
Stable, durable, and easy to transport The 345D L has three chassis configuration assemblies for different applications and transportation requirements: Fixed gauge, variable gauge, and wide variable gauge. Each option provides good stability and long life. The crawler links have been redesigned to extend service life, and the new carrier roller design has improved reliability. In situations where the ground conditions are extremely poor or where a large amount of travel is required, cast tensioning wheels and positive pinned 2 crawlers are available. The standard 9.0 metric tons of weight makes the machine more stable and enhance its performance.
Easy to operate, easy to maintain and the same as the previous model, the 345D L is designed to be easy for operators and technicians to operate. The cab is spacious, quiet, comfortable and well ventilated. It is equipped with ergonomically designed controls and an easy-to-read display. The display can display information in 27 languages ​​and can be used by employees around the world. For heightened comfort and productivity, a high-back, heated, air-suspended seat is standard. The rear view camera options and Work Area Vision System (WAVS) broaden the field of view, increase productivity, and make the job site safer.
