Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway on the 26th through the fastest 8 hours

According to the Ministry of Railways, the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed rail line will be officially opened on the 26th of this month, and trial operations will begin on the 20th. With the links from Zhengzhou to Wuhan and Wuhan to Guangzhou, which have been previously opened, the longest operating high-speed railway in the world is completed. The fastest trip from Beijing to Guangzhou takes only 7 hours and 59 minutes.

Beijing-Guangzhou Railway Passenger Dedicated Line (abbreviated as 'Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed ​​Rail') is a passenger-oriented fast railway. It has a capital of Beijing in the north and Guangzhou in the south, with a total length of 2294 kilometers. The infrastructure design speed is 350km/h, and the operating speed is now reduced to 300km/h. The passenger dedicated line is one of the “four vertical and four horizontal” passenger dedicated line networks in China, forming a rapid passenger traffic channel that runs parallel to the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and runs through the north and south of China and has the widest radiation range. After the passenger dedicated line is open to traffic, the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway will separate passenger and cargo.

According to the railway department, the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed rail line will pass through Beijing, Baoding, Dingzhou, Shijiazhuang, Xingtai, Handan, Anyang, Hebi, Xinxiang, Zhengzhou, Xuchang, Luohe, Zhumadian, Xinyang, Xiaogan, Wuhan, Xianning, Chibi and Yueyang. The cities of Miluo, Changsha, Zhuzhou, Hengyang, Quzhou, Shaoguan, Qingyuan, Guangzhou and Shenzhen will also be connected to Hong Kong in the future. After the opening of the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed rail, the speed of the high-speed EMU is 300 kilometers, which is the same as the current speed of Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed rail and Zhengwu high-speed rail.

After the opening of the Beijing-Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Huizhou-Shenzhen high-speed railway, it will be linked to the existing railway network. In the near future, Guangzhou Neighbourhood can also take the high-speed rail to “walk around” the scenic spots in Shanxi, Xiamen, Nanning and Guiyang. It is expected that the high-speed rail link between Shenzhen and Hong Kong will be opened to traffic in 2015, and that high-speed trains can be used to shuttle Beijing and Hong Kong.
